Catharine's involvement and commitment to the field of wellness/nutrition and holistic health began 3 years ago when her younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and sought Catharine's advice on how nutrition might contribute to her healing. Not having any experience or background with the area, Catharine spent hundreds of hours researching the internet and reading dozens of books to identify foods, supplements, lifestyle changes and alternative healing modalities that could help her sister. Not only did Catharine's research contribute to her sister's eventual and complete healing from breast cancer, but the process launched Catharine's passion to learn more about nutrition, wellness and holistic healing. This led her to 2 years of independent study followed by her recent enrollment and graduation from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City where her instructors included the world's leading minds in holistic health/nutrition including Andrew Weil, Deepak Chopra, Walter Willett, Barry Sears, Mark Hyman and many more. Catharine's commitment to the area of wellness grew even stronger when her father was recently diagnosed with leukemia and given 6 months to live. However, after following Catharine's advice on nutrition, supplements and energy healing, he has continued to live an active and healthy life, way beyond his 6 months (and still lives!). This experience, along with Catharine's own recent bout of hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia and adrenal fatigue - all of which disappeared after just a few months of changing her diet, taking supplements and making lifestyle change further deepened her awareness of the growing need for people to have better access to nutritional knowledge, health counseling and products that could help them attain/maintain their own health. Catharine is proud to now be applying her 20 years of business acumen and caring for others to improving the lives and health of others. Catharine Arnston holds an MBA in International Business/Marketing from The Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Canada, an Hons BA in Urban Planning from Queen's University, Kingston Ontario and an Arts Management Certificate from the Banff School of Fine Arts, Banff Alberta. She is also a Reiki Master and has been a Reiki practitioner for the last three years. Catharine attended The Institute for Integrative Nutrition/SUNY in New York City and graduated in July 2009 with a certificate in Holistic Health Counselling. Her twenty years experience in strategic partnerships, branding, marketing, product launches, online-retail and public relations have primarily been in the luxury hotel, luxury goods, art, fashion, interior design, online-retail and publishing markets. She is a serial entrepreneur, having launched 3 internet companies of her own, orchestrated the re-launch/turnaround of a national interior design magazine and has been a key executive at many other companies and organizations. Catharine is now excited to be applying her 20 years experience to the wellness and holistic health community.
