HOLISITIC NUTRITION WORKSHOPS: Our Wellness/Nutrition Workshops are informative AND fun! We show participants how our food supply has dramatically changed over the last 30 years and how these changes have significantly contributed to our current health crisis including the explosion in cancer, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, alzheimers, food allergies and every other major chronic illness. The damage to our health has been enormous. Fortunately in each workshop we provide simple & affordable solutions so everyone leaves empowered and knowing what to eat to help prevent illness or heal themself - with food. Every Wellness/Nutrition Workshop is a multimedia event that is interactive, rich in content & some even include video clips. We also provide participants with food tastings and an abundant number of handouts & other resources. You can book a single workshop or a workshop series where we come in the same day/same time each week and give the same workshop or a rotating selection of workshops. We can also do multiple workshops back-to back, to accommodate different groups or departments who may want to share these workshops together and as a "team-building" exercise. Our workshops traditionally are for up to 30 people per workshop but we can easily accommodate larger groups. click here to inquie about booking a workshop
Our workshops are generally one or two hour formats. You can learn more about these different formats in our FAQ section. The workshop pricing depends on how many workshops you book and at what times you book them. Lunch-time workshops are more expensive than workshops given at other time slots. Our Wellness/Nutrition Workshops fall into three categories:
1. INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP: This workshop is our most popular workshop and is also the first workshop we offer clients. In this one or two hour workshop we review the current health crisis in the USA, the changes that have occurred in our food supply, the main causes of illness, food myths about what is healthy and what isn't, how eating the right foods can help you avoid most chronic illnesses and quick tips of what to do/eat to stay healthy. click here to inquire about an introductory workshop at your location.
2. "NUTRITION NOW" FOUR PART WORKSHOP SERIES: PARTS I,II, III, IV, This Four Part Workshop Series will delve into greater detail all of the issues covered in the Introductory Workshop. During the Four Part Series, we will explain what is REALLY happening in our food supply and how being an informed food consumer will allow you to make better food/nutrition choices and stay heathy for life! Hippocrates stated 2600 years ago that "Food is your best medicine" and we explore this concept with very specific examples. We cover topics such as organic vs non organic, GMO, alkaline diets, the myths in nutrition, survival strategies on how to eat when stressed, when travelling, when eating out, the importance of water, enzymes and keeping cellular inflamation down. We also review all the major diets and and explore which foods/supplements can alleviate or help prevent cancer, food alergies, alzheimers, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, weight loss, fatigue, digetive issues/gluten free diets and more. During this four part workshop series we turn many food myths and food marketing messages on their head so that you can really understand the truth behind the food industry's marketing. All is not what it seems and jaws will drop when you learn why.
3. HEALTH ISSUE WORKSHOPS We offer specific workshops that address particular health issues. However since a core understanding of food, health and wellness is necessary to appreciate these health-specific workshops, prior to having us give any of these Health-Specific Workshops, you will first need to have us give the Introductory Workshop as well as the Four Part Nutrition Now Workshop series.
